How to make beer bread


Prepare your ingredients: 340g self raising flour, 20g sugar, 60g melted butter, 340ml beer

Prepare your equipment: greased loaf tin, scales, large bowl

Preheat oven to 190 oC

Add flour to bowl

Add sugar

Add wet ingredients: 3tbsp melted butter and beer

Mix till combined with a spoon. The mixture will be wet and slightly lumpy

Add mixture to greased loaf pan and spread to corners

Cover the top of the remaining melted butter

Bake for 40 minutes

Insert skewer into top inch of bread. It should come out clean or with a few crumbs adhered to it

Loosen the sides with a spatula or knife

Turn out onto your cooling rack
