Download the “EU Exit” app from the Playstore and make sure you have your passport or residency card ready

If you are an EU citizen, scan the image of your passport. All others have to scan their residency card 🌍

Use the NFC-chip in your phone to scan the chip inside your passport. Apple doesn’t allow this, hence Android only 🍎

In the next step your biometric image is scanned (aka disco mode💃)

Finally time to take a selfie 🤳

Insert your passport information manually and double check the scanned info 🧐

Continue to complete your application on the Gov.uk website

One final declaration that you are eligible for (pre-)settlement

You can now either wait until March 30th or pay £65 which will be refunded (recommended in case more info is needed)

Once you paid and (if necessary) provided extra proof of your residency in 🇬🇧 you receive an application certificate
