If your iPhone is full, deleting apps will free up space - but there are better ways to know what to remove
It can also be quite hard to find unused apps if you have a lot installed
The iPhone lists apps by size, making it easy to delete apps taking up the most space
To see it, open Settings > General > iPhone Storage
You can see when you last used an app, and how much space it takes up
As well as deleting an app, you can offload it - which keeps your files and settings and lets you redownload it later
Offloaded apps still show an icon, but with a cloud symbol in front of the name - just click to reload them
There's also an option to automatically offload unused apps, but you can only redownload apps still in the App Store
