Baking a Super-soft Sponge Cake in Just an Hour!

Keep the ingredients ready. Pre-heat the oven to 180 ° for 20 minutes.

Melt softened butter on a low flame.

Blend eggs and sugar until color of the mixture turns white.

Add 2tsps vanilla essence and continue blending.

Add all-purpose flour to the mixture and blend further.

Add melted butter and gently mix it in a clockwise direction.

The batter should be of semi-liquid consistency.

Grease the base of the cake mould and sprinkle some flour over it.

Pour the batter in the mould partially.

Add 2 tbsp cocoa powder to half of the remaining mixture.

Add a thin layer of mixture over the first layer.

Add rest of the mixture over the first two layers. Use a toothpick to create random patterns of white and brown over it

Bake for around 40 minutes in the oven preheated to 180 °

Cut the cake into small wedges after cooling it. The sponge cake is ready to serve.

The specialty of this cake is it becomes super-spongy WITHOUT baking powder! 🎂🍰
